My writer friend, Beth - here in the 1960s -top of the heap so to speak - and what a heap it was - still is! That is me on the left in the 2nd row from the top. We called it a People Pile. It was a slumber party at my house and we probably were wearing muu-muus (remember those)? 
Today - a parking space with her name on it - and the little girls from Red Lake Falls once again sitting at a book event, speaking, having a lovely lunch at the Woman's Club of Minneapolis, a perfectly lovely building with a beautiful library. It was fun!
