It's 10:15 pm here, arrived a little after 8:30 on the Sapsan (means falcon) fast train in 4 hours 10 minutes - very nice train and interesting Russian countryside. Our new guide is Katrina and is young and beautiful and pointed out sights on the way from the train station to the Pushka Inn Hotel right on the riverbank. Another small hotel convenient to everything - including many many tour boats cruising the canals with loudspeakers telling of sights in many languages - not sure how late they will go.
Have a full day with guide tomorrow, and the car/driver:), so will post pics. However I wish to report that I have worn my black colored khakis 5 days now and they have been put to pasture! I always pack two, wear one!!!
