These were flowers right next to the sauna - loved the colors. Match the finish flag.
I coerced Ross into a tram trip to end of the line to an outlet center - loved it (Fiskars and other Finnish designs) - it was a suburb and the houses looked like this.. lovely.
Street entertainer near our hotel - he was good; he played many many hours today.
The cost of living is high in this country. These apartments are "very nice" and sell for 15000 euros (about $21,000) per sq meter (about 9 square feet)
Went to a weekly Market area today - food, Finnish crafts, right on the harbor and it was beautiful - cruise ships, small boats, fishing boats, fresh fish - fun! Coerced Ross into this one too!
I did have mackerel for dinner tonight - not even sure what these are at the market.
This is the Helsinki Cathedral (Evangelical Lutheran Church) and it is beautiful sitting high on a hill...very plain on the inside compared to the Russian Orthodox.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. —MELODY BEATTIE
