Should Finland Join NATO????

So the title - big question here is should they join NATO...majority of citizens not in favor; no homeless here, social security system well developed, 14Euros appr $20 to see doc, 32E per day for hosp - but THERE IS A WAIT UNLESS YOU PRIVATE PAY. Finland population 5 million, once was part of Sweden until Russia won the war with Sweden and then was Russian until 1917 Revolution. Was free from occupation in WWII. Above picture was on the way home from dinner tonight - a protest to raise money for a government deal - we could have joined them in the portable sauna...did not!
These were flowers right next to the sauna - loved the colors. Match the finish flag.
I coerced Ross into a tram trip to end of the line to an outlet center - loved it (Fiskars and other Finnish designs) - it was a suburb and the houses looked like this.. lovely.
Street entertainer near our hotel - he was good; he played many many hours today.
The cost of living is high in this country. These apartments are "very nice" and sell for 15000 euros (about $21,000) per sq meter (about 9 square feet)
Went to a weekly Market area today - food, Finnish crafts, right on the harbor and it was beautiful - cruise ships, small boats, fishing boats, fresh fish - fun! Coerced Ross into this one too!
I did have mackerel for dinner tonight - not even sure what these are at the market.
This is the Helsinki Cathedral (Evangelical Lutheran Church) and it is beautiful sitting high on a hill...very plain on the inside compared to the Russian Orthodox.
Biggest blueberries I have ever seen at the market today.
This was just across the Russian border into Finland - a cute and perfectly maintained little Finnish cottage. Big difference crossing the border - BIG!
Perfect day for me today - relaxed - took a couple hop on/hop off tours, rode the tram, walked around, nice dinner. Great way to finish off a great trip - couple more days here and then heading home. Alex lost his first tooth today and it made me lonesome:)
