Cool Day?????

They keep saying there is a cold wave but we have blue skies, hot sun, temps about 70-perfect. Walked down 4th Avenue just a couple blocks from our house - lots of interesting people, stores - this is the location for all the tattoo parlors ETC!
Another "parlor" - no have not gotten one yet. There are a lot of "alternative" looking people on this street:) So many that I looked to be the alternative person!
This is the Big Blue House from the corner - love the location and the view out the front window! It is definitely a work in progress as the son is here by 8 every morning painting, fixing, repairing, getting ready for guests coming and going.
This is how my day starts - got the greatest thing from Chris and Amy for Christmas - a Vapur collapsible water bottle - have filled it with cold water every morning and it works great.
One stop today: the H. F. Coors factory shop - dinnerware and "stuff" handpainted, fired right here in Tucson in the back of this store. Even has an online shop.

Started the day at Agua Caliente (means hot water) Park aka "oasis in the desert" - very peaceful with a lake, a spring, ducks, palms and the mountains in the background. This is me and Indiana Jones and I have already been asked "where is my whip?"

Drove through less populated areas and took a picture of a typical house in the desert.

So - dangit - didn't get my ice cream cone today but did get a steak taco at La Salsa - a fast food Mexican grill - mmmmmmm good - they had about 10 types of salsas to put on it. Tonight we are off to Cafe Poca Cosa (means "little thing") for yet another Mexican - a little more upscale. Dinner last night was a splurge and not nearly as good as the taco today!
So far: Love the weather, the brilliant blue skies, orange trees, Mexican food, relaxed pace - on the other hand not sure how well I would like the desert for a length of time - lots of brown and I do like green and flowers - on the other hand what we have at home right now is lots of white!
