Girlfriends in Phoenix!

After getting up at 4:30am, 7am flight to Phoenix Peggy and I have a perfect and uneventful trip to Phoenix. What a great day we have had so far. A lady offered to take our pictures and when we told her we graduated from high school together 48 years ago she got the biggest smile and so did we!
We visited the community center in the area where Beth and Jerry will be moving - lovely - I could live here. The house we are in now is sold and the new one is bought so we got to peek in the windows. We all have rather an odd sense of humor and seem to have seen the sign on the bocce ball court (near our feet) at the same time...DO NOT LOFT BALLS! Wouldn't even think of it:)

Another old friend and roommate Fran from Portland who winters in Phoenix invited us for lunch and it was a wonderful lunch including the homemade lemon pie made from lemons she picked! Fran had never met Beth and Peggy and we had such a nice time and great visit - Thanks, Frannie!

Tomorrow we will head to the Desert Botanical Museum and we are so lucky to be here while the desert flowers are blooming - a very short season. I just love my girlfriends!
