Buenos Dias! I'm doing this in two posts as I had problem posting more than 3 pics! Click on pics to enlarge. SOOOOO - yesterday morning at home get up to an email from Delta saying our flights from MSP to Atlanta and on to Barcelona had all been cancelled and they had booked us the NEXT DAY from MSP-Detroit and JFK (NY) to Barcelona - see anything missing in that (clue - how to get from Detroit to JFK). Stupid stupid stupid - so I woke up my Office Manager aka Ross and he fixed it so we did leave Tues as planned. All went well. If you recall when we went to SC last fall got to airport to find flight cancelled; last year on trip to Italy woke up to email of "major water breakdown" in apartment in Rome so location was changed.....getting a little paranoid here. Ross has MANY and frequent contacts with Delta - his contacts are telling him it has been "escalated to the top" - hmmmm - have heard this before - I think it means up in the clouds somewhere and that there is no top.
Below is a pic of the front door of our apartment building in the El Born area of Barcelona. Perfect area with lots of restaurants, shops etc on the narrow streets. It is truly a beautiful city and called "the new Paris". Everything is so spotless here including the apartment - It was drizzling last night but today skies so far sunny and blue. Took a taxi from airport to apartment - good thing we did not drive - the streets are narrow and this is pedestrian only - we would never have found it or our car again had we found a place to park - no car on this trip - try to avoid it whenever we can.
