It was a sad day when our kids left for college and were no longer around to do our yard work - especially the fall cleanup! Well, guess what folks - interns in training and they are serious about cleaning off that driveway. Alex and Lucy spent the night with us this weekend and we had a great time and they are hard little workers.
As a treat, we got to have ice cream cones for dessert and we watched as Lucy demolished the cone. When I gave her a paper towel to clean her hands and face she discovered it would also mop up melted ice cream which could then be sucked out of the towel. She didn't seem to care as we laughed at her and listened to the hose type noises. What fun we had with them!
I looked out our front door at sunset and noticed the beautiful sunset behind the river birch in our front yard. It is indeed a glorious season. Enjoy it!
