We have been having family ethnic dinners since 2005 at least - started with Russian, then Italian, Greek, German, Mexican, Thai, Multi-cultural:), French, Spanish, Cuban, Mexican, Julia Child, Southern Italian - Chris started the ball rolling with the idea.
Saturday night we had a French Normandy (northern) dinner at Paul and Scott's to celebrate the upcoming trip to Normandy/DDay Beaches/Paris for the 6 of them. (We will be frolicking with Alex and Lucy:))
Scott and Paul did a great menu and set a beautiful table - click to enlarge the menu - this side French - flip over voila! English:
Sarah B, Katie and Scott after enjoying the Pots de Creme (Chocolate mousse) - yum!

Paul, Scott, Katie and Amy - we laughed so hard most of the night - with people, at people, teasing - so much fun and such good food. I am always so thankful for extended family and I feel ours is really special.

Caught this great picture of Amy's sister Katie - not sure what story she was telling but it must be good - she calls it Fan Hair as there was a fan behind her.

Since we did not all have French shirts - figured Finnish, French and Italian would make for cultural diversity. Chris and Matt - Chris did have a FFF (French Football Federation) shirt with the French rooster on it.

Now - onto planning for the family cabin weekend. It has gotten to where sister-in-law Karen just said about my brother Kent "You should be trying to live with such a goofball" - should be a hoot and I'm anxious to hear of their very recent trip to Ireland.
