Family Zoo!!

Where to start in the last few days with hardly a spare moment? This week we went to another Feed My Starving Children event with our good friends Beth and Jim - Jim and Ross were "Bossy Pants" but it backfired as then it just made me and Beth raise our arms veeeerrrrrryyy slooooowwwwwly to dump the little scoop. But the whole room set somewhat of a record for filling bags. Filled enough to feed 58 children for a year!!!! Wow - I'm going to do this again.
The hair bonnets are quite lovely - this is "our" station.

U2 concert this week - this was Chris and Amy and they say it was the "event of a lifetime" - everyone else is saying that too - outdoor concert, outstanding staging and a few downpours just added to the ambience of the event for 60,000 fans. The concert last year was cancelled and at that time Amy thought they might have to sell their tickets as she was afraid she would get knocked down as she was not walking too well. This time she stood for the whole concert! You go, girl!

Since Alex and Lucy were overnight with us for the concert the next day we took them to the zoo - had the opportunity for them to be nose to nose with a grizzly.

Lucy about 2 minutes after getting into the car after about 5 hours after the zoo - no stroller!

A year ago today Amy put the last entry into her Caring Bridge because she had a good MRI report and "it was time". This week another "everything's great" from the MRI.

Soon we have our family reunion at Jolly Fisherman cabins again - getting down to the details of who will bring the corn or the mayo! Last one 2 years ago included my mom, Amy with no knowledge of the tumor sitting in her head, Lily as a baby who now has a baby sister. So with all that I am now known as DJ the Elder, brother Kent is the Elder Younger Brother and Brian is the Younger Younger Brother. I love my family!!!
