The Grands!

Happy Summer!
Patience is a virtue when it comes to fishing with a branch that fell off a tree - but it was a fishing rod that Alex and I "constructed" on our walk this week. He caught pondweed but we called it sushi - he didn't want to have it for lunch. He is practicing his fishing for the upcoming visit with Unka Brian who will take him fishing at our family gathering in August.

Jenny sends this picture of Rooke (will be 2 in 2 months) and she called it "A Glimpse of the Child Who Never Sits Still" - definitely not a still-life with fruit! I keep telling her she is just a Little Jenny. We are looking forward to our next visit to California but do not have a date set yet. Doesn't she look full of life?

Lucy is Lucy! She turned one in March. She walks (or rather struts) while swinging one arm at her side heading straight for who-knows-where. Now when asked a question or anything that remotely sounds like a question, she replies with a nod of her head and "Yah"....even when I asked her if she wanted frog legs. We will be picking her up at Primrose this afternoon as Chris, Amy and Alex are on their way to Duluth where he will be running Grandma's Marathon for the umpteenth time....Lucy will be spending the night.

Bottom line - we are having the greatest fun with them and then they get to go home to their parents!

  1. I love the fisherman Alex. They all seem to have personality plus. Guess we must be relatives... Ha ha.
