Seven Generations of Ladies!

It is nearly a year since my Mom died and I have been going through my genealogy box(es)!! which has turned into a day long affair just looking for a few women. First -my great great grandmother Eliza (Weaver) Hare born in 1840 (can't figure out when she died) married to George Tytherleigh Hare at St. Lawrence Ludlow Church, Taunton, England on July 29, 1863. I found them on the 1881 England census and they lived in Taunton, Somerset, England at Sunderland Road Vale House - would love to find it someday.
Mary Morrison Hare, my great grandmother is on the left; born June 19, 1869 in Hampden, Canada, died 28 October 1945 in Humboldt, Minnesota. She married George King Hare from London, England, and while married lived in Duluth and managed a store for a while. "The tall one" the back of the picture says - and in the middle on the other with 4 of her daughters with my grandmother being second from right. Nice British hats!

My grandmother in her church photo in Florida and as a young girl. Laura Ethel Hare Sylvester was born April 3, 1903 in Kittson County, Minnesota, and died April 23, 1996 in Port Charlotte, Florida. She was a school teacher until about 1968.

My mom Hazel Claire Sylvester Schultz in 1944 at high school graduation, her "school picture" as Washington Elementary School secretary and me and mom with matching shirts in 2006!

She was born August 27, 1926 in Humboldt, Minnesota and died April 6, 2010 in Crookston, Minnesota. Full of life and quite a spitfire right to the end.

Of course it is the most spoiled, cutest and first baby on either side of my family, DeVerle Ann Schultz Jones. Born March 27, 1947, in Crookston, Minnesota - still kicking in Bloomington, Minnesota - I think you might be catching the drift of the White Hair Gang by now - we haven't a chance on this side of the family! Second picture is me and my brother, Keith and I think we were 4 and 2 years old.

My daughter Jennifer Ann Jones, born July 19, 1976 in Edina, Minnesota, with her daughter Rooke - in California. She is a 911 dispatcher in Anaheim, California.

7th generation and my granddaughters:
Rooke Austen Brandstetter, born August 27, 2007 (my Mom Hazel's birthday!) lives in Corona, California
Lucy Ann Jones, born March 7, 2008 in Edina, Minnesota and lives in Savage, Minnesota

So - 171 years of history in these few pictures and how lucky we are to have such a strong and smart bunch of women or so we say. My mom did not give a rip about the history - just wanted to have fun. My grandma Laura only wanted to repeat the things that made everyone seem smart and of royal blood and with her staunch Methodist background too much fun was not a good thing. My mom's sister was the family repository for all the old letters, pictures etc and they were passed on to me in 1996 and later. Will be interesting to see who in the next generation will want the "reposits"!!!!!
