Thought niece Sara would enjoy the multiculturalness of the fair "Bratwurst mit Kraut" - mmmm - Good German food - also saw the booth "Hog on a Log" - especially for Sara who is a mostly vegetarian!!! - Great times on the State Fair Express bus which also was a "stretch bus" - turns in the middle - lucked out on the way there to sit on the "TURNY PART" - on the way home running commentary from Alex identifying every car we passed - he was about the only one on the bus without gray hair.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. —MELODY BEATTIE

State Fair Over the Years! Vehicles!
2006 - Alex was about 18 months old - beautiful blue skies!
2007 - a year later - who is the mature person here - the driver of course!
2008 - granddaughter Rooke the California girl - about 1 year old - first introduction to a brown and white cow.
2009 - You can take the girl out of the farm but you can't get the farm out of the girl!
2010 - yesterday - August 31. First time we paid for one of the games - expression worth the 75 cents! Wanted his picture taken by the motorcycle - his Dad Chris says "no motorcycles" - while I am explaining the why and how of air bags and lack of in motorcycles!
