Can't waste time - out to dinner soon. In Regensburg - finally hit a little rain. Going to visit Sara in Edelsfeld tomorrow - the new car is parked in a ramp in the skinniest spot imaginable but we checked on the baby today and no door dings yet!
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. —MELODY BEATTIE

It's a Man's Welt (World)
Fooled you - it's a ladies' world too - Thought about buying this cycle for me at BMW Welt. Quite an operation. 140 cars being "delivered" at the Welt yesterday - ours was at 10:00, toured the factory (lots of robots - amazing). Plant builds 950 BMWs a day and they sell 1.5 million/year.
Ross' Best Friend Rolf - this is the guy who showed us how to use everything on the car - and in view of Oktoberfest the staff were dressed in traditional costume - ain't he cute?
This is Ross' car from the "viewing stage" while we enjoyed free food. They have a remote control that makes it turn on a circle thing - impressive.
This is Ross' new girlfriend. The first person we met with who handles the "paperwork" - German efficiency much in evidence.
So - one glitch - after we "took delivery", toured the plant, then the museum, then the shop - went to get our car to leave and IT WAS NOT TO BE FOUND - MIGHT I ADD IT ALSO HAD OUR SUITCASES, THE PAPERWORK AND MY BAG. The girls at the desk got very nervous - after a few minutes I remembered I had taken pictures of the license plate so I showed my digital camera photo - Voila! - it worked - they had the key filed under Ross and not John R. Jones - who would have thought a digital photo would bring a new car back -
