Edelweiss, Edelweiss

Made it to Salzburg without problems other than the general nastiness of flying. This is a view of a town with the Alps in the background that we passed on the train from Munich Airport to Salzburg. Sat with a very interesting German guy - learned lots of things about Germany - he said the older he gets the more he loves his country.

Our apartment in Salzburg - it's a studio right on a main street - so "cozy" - it's only2:15pm our time but I feel like it is bedtime. Have been up for 24 hours now.

More of the apartment - probably won't be using this to do laundry.

View from our apartment window.....sunny blue skies - have to decide on a place for dinner. More later. Guten Tag! Tomorrow going to "Eagle's Nest" - Hitler's hideaway at the top of a mountain near here - also where he ultimately committed suicide.

Hmm - will it be pork hocks, schnitzel, lamb shanks or bratwurst????? strudel, spaetzle, noodles - bit decisions with a tired mind.
