Krakow Days 1,2,3

Made it to Krakow by 10:30pm on 3 October after 11 hour flight delay/change!  Slept like a rock for 9 hours and up we go meeting with our great PA friends Greg and Linda.  It's been 2 years since we've seen them and it was on the South Africa trip!
We did notice a few familiar names on the Krakow aka like Hollywood walk of fame
I look like I'm staring at an airplane:)
We keep congratulating ourselves on doing so well "at our age".  We are close to 10 years older than our buddies.
Krakow is very proud to have a Pope who lived here.  The country is over 90% Catholic and seems very religious with lots of abbeys, churches and monasteries.  Wonderful kind and loving people and happy to see the return of tourists.

Yup - cell phones are the new norm everywhere!
We are never going to miss a day without a double scoop ice cream cone - NEVER!

These steps were down into a salt mine where we met the tour group last night for an "underground dinner".  This was not our flight but we did walk down 800 steps.  OK - right now it's 5 October 1pm and we are ready to leave for Auschwitz tour for 6 hours.  More later:

These kids were posing while their teacher took a picture of them and they certainly also wanted to entertain us and have us take a photo.

Walking tour of old town in Krakow and this was a huge statue head only indicating someone was beheaded.
Couldn't help but take this picture as Chris and Amy went to UND home of the Fighting Sioux until the name was no longer allowed and now called the Fighting Hawks
And of course a store called Laker and our grandkids have played hockey and lacrosse for years now with the Prior Lake Lakers!
