Day one welcome dinner - with the other 2 in the group - mom and daughter. After a full day of travelling we were a bit tired to be eating dinner about 8:30 at night.
The group of 8 and we got along so well every minute of every day. I knew that would happen. This is "chef" Guido and Kathy in their kitchen for pasta making day.
In the "grotto" of Sally and Guido's cucina which is the "basement" dining room to us.
Veal saltimbocca - best I've ever had.
Sally and Guido in the city of Farfa where we were lucky enough to hear a band concert in the centuries old abbey.
Santa Lucia Vineyard tour - good wine and of course good little snacks to go with it. I am becoming spoiled with good wine and excellent olive oil.
Leaving the little town of Toffia (population 250 inside the walls) on our last morning there. The walls are on the hill to the right and this is the "car park" outside the walls. Every day the skies were this color - amazing!
So we are in Rome after taking the train from Fara Sabina, then Metro line A then Metro line B and amazingly enough we walked to the front door of the huge apartment in the Prati area and already have wine and groceries for breakfast. 6 women toting 6 small suitcases and a few other bags!!!
