GirlCation!

Not much time for documenting my stay in Arizona:)
Day one - Beth and Jerry (bless his heart) picked me up at the Phoenix airport and we headed to the Chocolate Affaire art and chocolate festival, then to this candy factory, then to model homes, then to happy hour!

Day 2:  Their relatives and friends picked us up for a shopping and lunch trip to Scottsdale - what a nice place it is and the weather continued gorgeous and sunny.
My young long time friend Fran picked me up on day two and headed to a little shopping, lunch at a Polish cafe and then on a trail ride on horses with a very cute guide 19 years old!  My horse's name was "Undertaker" but that did not put me off one bit so off we went on the desert and rocky trail.  It was great and neither of us was stiff at all the next day.

Beautiful swan in Beth's backyard this morning.
Today they dropped me off for 3 nights with high school friend Judy at a 55+RV resort with 2500 spaces!!!  Nice pools, cafĂ© and we get to share a 24' RV but at least 6' taken up with steering wheel and front seats so good thing we get along so well.

Since we don't have a car tomorrow we will use our newly purchases transit passes to take a bus and then metro around Phoenix.....good thing we are not fraidy cats!  All 4 of us agree that we are blessed with patient husbands who understand our independence....and I will be anxious to see Ross when I get home in a few days.
