53 years and counting!

This group of 5 (Judy, Beth, Peggy, me and Diana) met for lunch at the cafe called Memories - I looked up and saw this on the wall - a photo moment for sure.  All of us are back home as of now and our next year's trip is in the planning.  It is most amazing how well we travel together and maybe someday we will need to hire our personal bus driver if the group grows larger.
Huot Park near Huot cemetery.  Peggy and I notice that often we many of us are holding hands and have been since we were teenagers.  It is such a good feeling to have that good friend's hand in yours or yours in hers.
Third night - Crookston - spotted this on our walk home from dinner and what do immature old women do but try to climb Babe the Blue Ox's cart - of course.
The famous Chateau Motel and Liquor in Red Lake Falls -my car; the "girls" - and we had a room in the middle top floor and had happy hour right on our personal "patio".  We were not there but 5 minutes and the first person arrives (a man) who stares, waves, smiles and heads to the liquor store to bring the booze!  We are not big drinkers but it's a nice touch and we instantly caught up on all the news.  He just happened to be the county engineer for the highway dept for the last 12 years and knew every nook and cranny.
Sunset after dinner on Friday night.  The northern skies are beautiful and all around is so peaceful and best of all the girls all know I like skyscrapers most of the time:)
This is a short post to say that we had a more than perfect trip and laughed and talked so much we had to take Ricola cough drops on the way home today because we were hoarse.  It took a few minutes to work and on with the chatter again.  I'm gathering my stories and I do have 96 photos to sort through and tell my stories.  What we know:  we have been blessed with lovely friends, families and best of all - HUSBANDS WHO LET US DO WHAT WE WANT WHENEVER!!!  FOR THIS WE ARE GRATEFUL.
