Got to Vienna this afternoon after quite a long train day but only one change in Katowice, Poland! Apartment is in a perfect location right in the center of everything and only need TWO keys to get in!
Yesterday took a short bus tour around Krakow and below is a clothing store in the area of Schindler's Factory in the Jewish area - remember Schindler's List the movie - it happened here. Still need to organize and post the Auschwitz-Birkenau story and pictures - I think anyone who has a chance should see this historical site.
Music everywhere in Czech Republic, Poland and now Austria - this little guy was so happy playing loudly and singing all by himself - had to make me smile...it was in Krakow.Yesterday took a short bus tour around Krakow and below is a clothing store in the area of Schindler's Factory in the Jewish area - remember Schindler's List the movie - it happened here. This is where we ate in Vienna tonight - and guess what - Ross had wiener schnitzel (fried breaded veal that covers the entire dinner plate) - just about makes you sweat to look at it. The restaurant was very small and started by a young person who emigrated from Budapest during an uproar there many years ago......so many stories in this part of Europe - and we think we have a melting pot in the US. Tomorrow we hope to find the catamaran to Bratislava, Slovakia, that goes down the Danube - if we don't find that I'm sure we will find something else. Auf Wiedersehn (might be misspelled but it means good bye or good night)!!
