Back in Cairo!

Had an uneventful flight from Luxor to Cairo today. Arrived here and had a catered lunch on a felluca (a sailboat) on the Nile - then on to hotel, then at sunset a Sound and Light show at the Pyramids - I think that is quite popular here - it was a little cheesy to me. I liked the pyramids better in the daytime. Had a Thai dinner.
Best news of the day. We have a toilet that flushes whenever you want it to and we can put toilet paper in it!
We see camels, goats, donkeys, horses and dogs everywhere trying to dodge the traffic. The traffic is unbelievable.
Today people are telling us the African safari would be a great thing.
So far we have had 4 people get the mummy tummy, 2 falls and one lost luggage but all have worked out just fine. The walking is often lots of stairs and rough ground. We are near the youngest on the group but everyone is doing well. The weather continues in the 70s and sunny. Cairo is dirty and it seems like people throw garbage everywhere but the hotel is beautiful and insulated from all the junk; however we need only walk about half a block to find it.
We have internet for 24 hours now so I will post pictures tomorrow as it is 11:15pm here. Full day tomorrow.
In all these activities we have an armed bodyguard with us - he's rather cute and I smuggled a photo of him - will post it.
