We are in the Sonesta St. George in Luxor, Egypt. It has an Intelligent Toilet - we could not figure out how to flush it. We are not dumb. It is operated by remote control from the wall with 8 buttons - we warmed the seat. Another thing - in the last 4 days of the boat and here we are warned not to dispose of paper in the toilet - think about it!
Remember Johnny Carson as The Great Karnak - we were at Karnak today.
We have been invited to go to Indochina in February with some other of the tour group - we don't know where in the world it is.
We had teppanyaki - Japanese cooked in front of you - in the hotel compliments of the tour tonight - it was good and fun.
Don't like the scarves and hasslers yet. Leaving for Cairo on an AM flight - still feel extremely safe. Tomorrow we take a riverboat cruise lunch on the Nile in Cairo and spend the last 2 nights there. We get to spend the last day at a "bazaar" - billions of items with hasslers in your face - if you make eye contact they will follow you for a mile.
Time is nearly up - going to bed. I have learned to appreciate Omar Khayam Egyptian wine - it's the cheapest on the menu.

By "warming the seat" does that mean you both sat on "it" for a long time?
ReplyDeleteAnd 4 days of no disposing of TP is about the worst smell I can think of. That's worse than 2 days of Lucy's poopy diapers.
Please smuggle back some Omar Khayam wine. We'll toast in his honor at our 'girlfest' this summer.
ReplyDeleteAbout the toilet - another little item - there is an extra button and a little faucet inside that squirts up with warm water - figure it out! Like a butt shower.
ReplyDeleteI will try to smuggle the wine but remember this is a Muslim country and I have yet to see a liquor store.
