We've been doing "spring break" since we had little kids in school and who would have thought we would be in on it with grandkids - lots of fun and nothing better! Nice hot tub in the backyard of our rental house right in Belmont Shore on Alamitos Bay.
Dinner at the house - Brother Brian brought the usual birthday cake for all because of course we all have birthdays someday.
Rooke and Lucy are 6 months apart in age and tied together like twins all the time they are together.

If anyone is ever wanting to do something lovely we rented a Duffy boat for an hour for $90 and up to 12 people can fit it and brother Kent was the "Captain" as you drive your own boat through the canals by Naples Island in Alamitos Bay, Long Beach - maximum 5 mph. Next time we would rent longer and bring a feast and wine!!!

Brother Kent and wife Karen - and it was so fun to have them out here at the same time. We visited the Pacific Marine Rescue Hospital - it's free and they save seals, sea lions and other mammals that are found injured.
Lunch today at Fred's in Huntington Beach. It was a rather odd name for a Mexican restaurant with excellent food. This statue took Lucy's eye and I told her it's a replica of the Mannequin Pis that is found in Brussels, Belgium - how fun to have it here and peeing still!!!
Surfing walk of fame and I was able to stand on one foot to put my sandals on - I've been working on that at the Y!!!
