So - to volunteer for Alex's "Fall Harvest Party" today - aka Halloween - the rules: costumes must not be violent or have any type of weapon - we decided it best to go as old grandparents in our regular clothes. Our station: Rubber eyeball and rubber pumpkin toss - four tries to get them in the eyes nose or mouth of the cardboard box pumpkin man - Problem: eyeballs and pumpkins got lost behind the box and in the room - kids did not care - they had eyes on the treat box! Ms. H, his teacher, is a gem and I can see why Alex loves her - the entire group was always under control...during the Cookie decorating stations she said the reason you do it last was because of all the sugar - then they go home. I THINK 8 WERE MISSING FROM THIS PICTURE! On the way home Alex says we can volunteer for the Christmas party, the Valentine's party and go on field trips to help kids "stay on the path" - can't wait - actually it was quite fun.
