I may be a bit prejudiced but is this Hollywood or what?? Just back from a visit to see our daughter in Calfornia and it was great!Little granddaughter Rooke Austen just turned two and it's OK to wear a "prom" dress and have dirty feet - who cares??
And yes, the text is correct - the car thermometer read 105 degrees!!!! Rooke had a good system with Gapa and Gama as she so proudly calls us: After breakfast, open the hall closet door and point to the stroller and say "Walk now, Gama" - who could resist...but my rule was be home by 9:30am or sweat to death.
Does this not look like Italy??? Love the cypress trees.
Gama and RooBear (as she calls herself) having a laugh - then a more serious moment with Gapa and her own bag of Fritios!
After lots of help with assembly of her birthday gift off she goes in the Panda Helmet and the new trike - quite a happy sight to see.
Soooo - our last night was spent here in Huntington Beach having dinner with my brother Brian - and ooooh it was fun to see the sand, surfers, palm trees and fresh mahi mahi. Life is indeed good.
What's next? Soon we are off to "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" - aka Savannah and Charleston where I'm sure we will enjoy grits, hush puppies and shrimp....and my favorite thing - cemeteries.
On a final note: Unpacked my suitcase and found one little 22 caliber cartridge in the bottom - long story but Brian and son Andrew collect guns and target shoot for sport soooo since Californians are hoarding both arms and ammo he bought 30# here in August in Grand Forks and Lakeville - who was the lucky one to transport 11# in her suitcase - yes that would be me and yes, it is legal in that amount, and noone else offered to do the same and yes, I did have the little TSA sheet in my suitcase that it had been inspected - probably good for a laugh to find shampoo for silver hair, flipflops, size 3T clothes, toy cars and animals and ammo. A friend asked if she would have to call me an arms runner now - NOT! Have not fired a gun in my life even though I grew up in a family of hunters.

Silver hair, flipflops, toy cars and ammo - sounds like a good mystery to me. You've always been my favorite arms runner!
