Made it to Chicago and then on to Amsterdam on the overnight flight just fine. Before we left home Ross downloaded Skype and we called Sara in Laos from the computer so we could see her and she could see us - it was very hot there and she looked "glittery" - some call it sweaty.
We have been up for 24 hours at least and so far so good but have a way to go. I have a Christmas cross-stitch with me to keep me busy. Also some trivia to share (Ross does not even care when I tell him these things):
- The back side of the US$ has an unfinished pyramid
- Omar Sharif (Dr. Zhivago) is back home in Egypt doing TV commercials
- Egypt is known for strawberries but they are imported to Europe so we may not get to taste them! Brings in much needed money for the country.
Our flight to Cairo leaves at 9pm here (7 hours earlier at home). Thanks for your notes and good wishes. Hopefully next time we will have a picture and more trivia:)
Ross and Dee
