Sooooooo -as of this moment we are in the Paris airport on our way to Lisbon to meet our travel buddies Greg and Linda. There are sometimes glitches and yesterday our flight was "supposed" to leave at 4pm - delayed - delayed - cancelled at 11pm so of course we went back home and our suitcases were left there "in storage" overnight. First the flight left about an hour late, about 30 minutes into it I heard the flight attendants say sometime about a "heavy landing" and a bit later the captain gets on and says we have to turn around as there is an odor of gas in the cockpit. Assuming it was not fart gas😆. Then we had to circle for a while to use up some of the fuel as it was too heavy to land because it had enough fuel to get to Paris. So that's it for day 10:15 am 14 June 2023 in Paris and we did miss our "free day" as we always get there a day early before the tour starts. But as they say in good old Minnesota "not so bad, could be worse"!!!
