Good News Day!

Daughter-in-law Amy had her surgery to remove the "smaller" - 1" or so - brain tumor this morning about 8am.  Last surgery was in January of 2010 to remove the big bugger.  Surgery went well and the awesome neurosurgeon says he "got it all". She has not lost any function of her left side hands, toes, legs and face - yes she can can still chat and smile!  There are so many people following her path and praying and sending texts, emails, messages and all that and it makes a difference.
Yesterday I took her for the 3rd MRI in 2 weeks and she got sticky dots stuck on to mark the places where something important is in her brain so it doesn't get damaged.  Apparently the last surgery a piece of skull had to be removed to get the big bugger out and there are screws in place to hold it in so this time it just required taking out the screws and reopening the hole or "hatch" as we call it sometimes.  When I say "just required" it does not mean it's not a big deal!!!!
Son Chris with Amy right before surgery and yesterday she told me she was pretty excited about wearing her Ruby Red glitter slippers into surgery.  Pretty darn cute!
