Paris - more than 24 hours!

Day two - Ross' finger still going strong - no amputation in sight!  Stories:  Strange woman on the seat in front of me in the plane:  fidgety to the max, banging her head on the seat, got out a "travel blanket" and proceeded to make a bed on the floor, told the flight attendant her doc told her to take Ambien with wine to help sleep - attendant says "not a good idea";

So today "a little known museum" Musee des arts et meteirs" - an engineering and tech museum - great for Ross and it was a huge museum.  In the front one more time in France is the Statue of Liberty - the French are extremely proud of their gift to the USA!

The story of the designer; low and behold our Statue has ties to the Eiffel Tower!

Our Hotel de la Paix lobby - as Lucy would call it "cewet" - it is a deal for Paris but we do not get chocolates on our pillow or a turndown of covers before bedtime!  The 15x15 room works just fine and the staff couldn't be better!  And better yet Paix translates to "peace"!

Also in the museum - a circa 1960s Corona "valentine" portable typewriter.  Made me feel my age in a good way.

A special kind of camera - looks pretty much like a gun to me but the rest of the display goes from the earliest camera to the smallest pocket point and shoot digital camera - get it SHOOT?????

Made it to my well researched restaurant choice and it was worth the walk - great staff.

I read they take no reservations but if you get there at 7 you will get a table - we got there at 6:50pm, chatted with the staff and the only other guy there was having a beer - in 20 minutes the place was full.

So slept like a Rock last night until Nerd Alert Ross punched the wrong button on his fully apped phone and instead of a "flashlight" he got  a police siren sound - and so did I - it's off that phone today!
Will be having early dinner at our friends' house tomorrow and should be great once again.  My next trip to Paris I will be visiting the Msere de la Poupee which is a doll museum - fun name, fun find I am sure.
