Lucy and Alex spent the night last night while Chris and Amy were invited to a home-cooked Finnish dinner (so good they suggested it for our next family deal)! Lucy is seeming so grown-up at nearly 4 1/2 years old that it made me think once again how fast time goes.
Lucy in July 2009 in her Oklahoma University cap looking oh so pensive
Lucy in 2010 at Bloomington Fete July 3. Amy is recovering from the brain tumor surgery in January 2010 with lots of therapy and not yet able to drive so we took the kids to Fete.
.Lucy 2011 - all decked out for the 4th of July!
Last night at our house - Ross gave a carpentry class to Alex and Lucy and they each had their own hammers and nails. I was quite impressed with Alex's racing car ramp. There surely is no need to buy fancy toys.
This week daughter Jenny celebrated her 36th birthday - hard to believe. This is big brother Chris at about 2 1/2 and Jenny at one month.
Me the mom - of course we were all decked out to matched in navy, white and my red shoes....Summer 1976.
Tonight having friends for dinner, Ross' brother coming to visit soon as will my brother and nephew from California. It would be Julia Child's 100th birthday this month and Amy and I are attending a Julia Child cooking class - can't wait.
My grandchildren keep me laughing and it is said laughing keeps you younger and allows you to live longer. So last night it's bath time with Alex asking me if he is supposed to used the "Hairball Mint" shampoo. I didn't want to laugh AT him as that is rude but just said I think it is Herbal Mint and it is pronounced "erbal" with the H silent. So from now on to me herbal will be hairball!!!!!!
