Spring Has Arrived!

This is April 5, 2009 - near my hometown of Red Lake Falls.
This is definitely prairie land - with snow.

Hard to believe that spring has sprung - surely there will be much more water in the Red River Valley when all this has melted.

Much improvement by April 11 - me, my mom and niece Molly and yes, there is a baby on the way for her - at Como Park Conservatory in St. Paul. Even outside the weather was beautiful. We had a lovely Easter weekend enjoying our families.

April 14: Pink Flamingos at the Minnesota Zoo for a little contrast.

What's next!!! We are off to Italy on April 20, flying into Rome where we have tickets for the public audience with the Pope and guided tour of Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. Then on to our rental apartment on the Amalfi Coast in Sorrento - Ross and I were there several years ago and loved it - it is near the isle of Capri and Blue Grotto (famous from the movie "Blue Lagoon")
A few people have asked me if it is near the earthquake; we will not be in that area however Rome is 70 miles from L'Aquila and experiencing a small earthquake is on Ross' bucket list!

Daily quote: The way you spend each day adds up to the way you spend your life!
Arrivederci!
