7 June 2025 - Yesterday we arrived home from California after attending our granddaughter Rooke's high school graduation from Corona-Norco Eleanor Roosevelt High School at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. Wow - we are proud and try not to brag but she graduated with honors and a 4.0 GPA and even a little higher with some advanced classes she took which will give her college credit. She was accepted at several colleges and chose UC Irvine as they have Political Science and a good law school. Hmmmmm??...another lawyer in the family 5th generation!!! Ross was the outsider as he choose electrical engineering over law. I counted 1060 in her class - a lot more than my Red Lake Falls, MN Lafayette high school with 43 graduation - the biggest in it's history!
And on another subject we missed the big event in Sicily of the eruption of Mount Etna the worst since 2024 with evacuations on 2 June 2025 and we just happened to be there 6 May 2025 with the 63 mph winds!
