New meaning to the Adirondack Chair!
Well - as you can see niece Sara aka The Inspired Adventurer has arrived to stay with us and it may not be a good thing. Last night we drove to the Uptown area of Minneapolis Spyhouse Coffeeshop to sell her Burning Man ticket for $250 cash. Check it out at: http://www.burningman.com/). Ross advised us that we were at risk of being robbed after exchanging but Clint was so cute and nice and had a new girlfriend. Ross also said he didn't think I was suitable to attend the 7 day Burning Man festival.

After eating at Pancho Villa and having a margarita Sara and I noticed these 3 chairs on our way home near Lake Calhoun and she happened to have her camera. She calls it the Incredible Shrinking Relatives. 1st chair - barely fit, 2nd chair - remember Lily Tomlin as Edith Ann on LaughIn; 3rd chair - see the sawhorse - I climbed up first then Sara had 10 seconds with the camera timer to scale the chair - all the while laughing.
When we showed Ross the pictures after arriving home he could also not help but laugh.
Other news: Saturday we had Ross' Bloomington Chorale summer group for lunch - about 25 of us - and it was great fun and he has invited them for the fall kickoff potluck on August 31.
This Friday we are having his old work cronies for dinner - should be fun - Sara plans to act her part as the odd relative who won't leave.
In spite of all our activity we have managed to walk 3 to 4.4 miles each day using my new Omrom pocket pedometer - yes I am quite the pedometer nerd.
Tomorrow is a new day and I am sure will bring another adventure.
Man, that Sara girl is hot!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine the giggles and grinned from ear-to-ear at my shrinking friends. How the heck did you get up there?
